Thank you for 2024

Our journey to digitizing convenience has only begun

In partnership with

Hello!

Over the last 21 weeks and beyond, this newsletter has been an adventure.

Prior to departing my retailer role in March, most of the emails I sent day-to-day were internally focused to colleagues and coworkers. They were one-to-one messages or updates to stakeholders – ultimately driving toward actions and outcomes for the retail business I managed.

Now I’m writing publicly, on a weekly basis, sharing my point of view and perspective on the digital world we all operate within.

This newsletter has stretched my skillsets in new ways, like distilling everything I’ve seen in a week down into a handful of paragraphs. It’s also created more touchpoints for me across the industry. Readers have reached out and new connections have been made. I love to share what I’m learning, and especially to hear from others.

The ever-changing, complicated environment we all face is an exciting space to be. There’s no shortage of impacts across loyalty, mobile, e-commerce, and more, not to mention developments specific to the convenience industry.

Digitizing convenience has never been hotter. 📲🏪🔥

I’ll continue to lean into these trending topics and others – like retail media and personalization – as we turn the digitized page to the new year.

I am ever grateful for the comments that folks share every week. It’s because of you that I continue, friend.

As I challenge myself to bring value to you every Monday, I hope you’ll do your part to reach out with any feedback or thoughts you have.

You can always hit ‘reply’ to any of my emails, or take my one-question survey.

Here’s to one last week in 2024. And here’s to the next 52 in front of us!

Conveniently,
Mike
